14 aspirants file to contest primaries in 3 constituencies in the North East Region Fourteen aspirants are vying to be elected as New Patriotic Party parliamentary candidates in three constituencies in the North East Region. A statement from the party said at the close of nominations on February 20, three women and eleven men had filed for the primaries which are scheduled for April 25, 2020. In the Bunkpurugu Constituency, four persons, including incumbent, Solomon Namliit Boar, are expected to contest. In Nalerigu-Gambaga Constituency, MP and Local Government Minister, Alima Mahama faces opposition from three contestants.
