Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana, affectionately known as Professor Kalamonia, the Savannah Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, has urged the newly sworn in Municipal and District chief executives to include everyone in their administrations.
Prof Kalamonia made this call as the region's already-confirmed five MDCEs took the oath of the district chief executive's under the local government act to become officially known as MDCEs of their respective assemblies.
“Don’t say I am the DCE, say we are the DCEs including constituency, polling station, electoral area, regional executives to regional minister. Let’s acknowledge everybody to be part of us” - prof Kalamonia noted
On the 7th of October, 2021, the Magistrate of the Bole District Court, His Worship, Edward Essel, swore in one Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) and four District Executives (DCE's) who had been confirmed by their respective Assemblies. The event was supervised by the Savannah Regional Minister, Mr Saeed Jibril Muhazu.
The MCE and DCE’s sworn into office are Mr Musah Karim Kusubari (West Gonja Municipality); Mr Adam Eliasu (North Gonja District) and Mr Iddrisu Salia Kamara (Central Gonja District). The rest are Madam Losina Barikisu Watara (Sawla-Tuna-Kalba) and Musah Mohammed Tindawu (North East Gonja District).
