HONORABLE AFENYO-MARKIN SUPPORTS TESCON UEW SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME

The Member of Parliament for the Effutu Constituency and Deputy Majority Speaker, Hon. Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin has donated to TESCON UEW Scholarship Scheme in his bid to offset the burden on some students of the Association. Earlier this semester, the Leadership of TESCON UEW, rolled out a policy to help it's members, who for various reasons could not pay their school fees. A window of opportunity was created to all members especially, continuing students to apply and at the end of the application process, more than 200 applications were received out of which 112 members were shortlisted and 61 members out of the shortlisted number had their fees paid in part. Leadership yesterday convened a meeting with the beneficiaries and presented copies of the receipts to them. Kanyiti Saburu Kantama Named Tertiary Most Dedicated Student Politician At Central Tertiary Awards

A level 300 Art Education Student at the University of Education, Winneba, Kanyiti Sabura Kantama has been adjudged the Most Dedicated Tertiary Student Politician at the just ended Central Tertiary Awards. Several students from various tertiary institutions in the central region converged at the GNAT HALL in Cape Coast for the award scheme, which took place on Friday, August 13, 2021. The executives of the National Association of Gonjaland Students,UEW Chapter has yesterday 5th August, 2021 paid a courtesy call on Members of Parliament from Savannah region in Parliament. The visit was to congratulate all the MPs for emerging victorious at the just ended 2020 elections and to also put before them the plans of the student front especially that of the students of University of Education, Winneba. He said a document is a tool being used by the leaders of this country to rig and steal from the people of Ghana.
