CHAIRMAN NANA KWAME ABOAGYE SUPPORTS THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF GONJALAND STUDENTS (NAGS-GHANA) PEACE CAMPAIGN WITH GHC1,000 CEDIS
Nana Kwame Aboagye, a philanthropist, business man and former Constituency chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Damongo has donated a sum of one thousand Ghana cedis (ghc1,000) to the National Association of Gonjaland Students Ghana (NAGS-GH) to support a schedule peace walk towards election 2020.
As part of its appeal for funds to support a peace walk, the National Association of Gonjaland Students( NAGS-GH) reached out to chairman Nana Kwame through its president Ismael Abdul-Fataw on Thursday 12th November 2020.
In a brief presentation, chairman Nana Kwame endorsed the program and urged the Gonjaland students to remain United before, during and after the election. He admonished the executives to remain steadfast as election will surely come and go but our unity as people from the association is paramount in all our dealings. “Young students should remain focused and take their studies seriously as they will be the future leaders of tomorrow”. The president of NAGS-GH expressed gratitude to the philanthropist and thanked him on behalf of Gonjaland students.
Under the auspices of the National Student Association of Gonjaland-NAGS, a scheduled peace walk is due to take place in Damongo the Savannah Regional Capital on 13th November, 2020.
The programme will involve sons and daughters of Ndewura Jakpa marching through the principal streets of Damongo drumming home the need to maintain peace before, during and after the December polls.
As part of the activity line up, NAGS would like to educate the public about the fact that we are in election year; therefore, it is imperative to ensure that, as citizens, we do things that promote peace before, during and after the general election. This will ensure that in the end the victory will be for all Ghanaians.
