The leadership of Savannah United Hairdressers Association has received assistance from the Savannah Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana aka Professor Kalamonia when they paid a courtesy call on him at his resident. The women expressed their joy and happiness at Chairman Kalamonia's warm reception and presented him with a letter asking for his support in expanding the association's activities, as well as inviting him to their inauguration ceremony. The revered chairman met with the COUNCIL UNIT at his residence on Saturday, January 29, 2020 in Damongo. All the leadership of the seven constituencies including their regional executives were present at the visit. They discussed issues pertaining to the growth of the Islamic religion in the region and how stakeholders can help in making the Islamic Council a well structured and recognized institution in the region.
