Bole Youth for JM Movement 2024 donates GHc20,000 to Mahama's presidential primaries campaign

Former Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama has received a boost in his bid to become president once again in 2024, as a group called Bole Youth for JM Movement 2024 has donated 20,000 Ghana cedis to support his presidential primaries campaign. The donation was made on Thursday February 23, 2023 at JDM's office in Cantonment, and the group promised to support him in whichever way possible to achieve his goal of becoming the president of Ghana once again. The Bole Youth for JM Movement 2024 is a grassroots organization that aims to promote Mahama's candidacy for the presidency in the upcoming elections. Speaking at the donation ceremony, the group's spokesperson Abdul Rafiu Haruna stated that they believed in Mahama's vision for the country and were committed to doing whatever they could to support him. The increasing demand for satellites in our various home’s country wide means that satellite installers are and will be in high demand. In all localities, households, chop bars, recreational centres, churches, schools among others have these digital tools for pleasure and work related. The satellite work value chain has always been a male dominated field and often seen as a job for only men. In the Upper West Region, observation shows that experts in this work are highly dominated by men. This profession does not require much money to startup but working knowledge on how to install systems, detect faults and proffer practical solution. It is not a risky business and can be done by all regardless of your gender. The Northern part of Ghana has only one season for rainfall which supports agricultural activity, the other period is a long season of drought called harmattan. Usually, many women in rural communities in the Upper West Region become dormant when the farming season is over because they do not have any alternative sources of income. This has increasingly worsened their economic conditions as many of them are unable to complement their family income. The accompanying effects per our research shows that, families are unable to support young girls and teenage mothers in these areas to purchase sanitary products as a result of this engage in illicit trade of sex for sanitary products. Also, malnutrition dominates especially in the dry season as a result of low income. The situation is dire when a family records low yield. With funding from Plan Ghana, Necessary Aid Alliance birthed what we call the Skills Drive project which is aimed at providing alternative sources of income to women
